East Gymnastics has a fabulous team of qualified coaches who are all passionate about gymnastics, coaching, children and having fun. Between us we have vast experience in gymnastics (of course), dance, cheerleading, acrobatics, ballet, circus, aerials and trampolining.

All coaches have passed their NSW working with children check.


We are excited to welcome Robyn as our new Manager from July 2022. Robyn is a professional aerial, dance and circus practitioner, choreographer, and coach. Specialising in performer flying and high-quality, large-scale productions, Robyn has worked on over 30 international sporting ceremonies, and in music, fashion, TV and film. Highlights include aerial stunts in Les Miserables film; Aerial Captain/Choreographer in London 2012 and Sochi 2014 Olympic Games; Miss World Cirque du Soleil Special Events. Robyn co-founded Circus Kathmandu in 2011, and has 20 years’ experience in social circus, recreational gymnastics, and creative education.

Robyn has completed a Master of Fine Arts in Choreography, Associate Diploma in Dance, Certificate in Circus, 250hr yoga teacher and Bachelor Marketing & International Management.

Program Coordinator; Recreation, Kindergym and Development coach

Originally from Nepal, Zan came to Sydney as a student studying a Bachelors degree in leadership and management. Zan has always been athletic, with an interest in parkour and soccer, and represented Nepal on the national soccer team. He has been coaching gymnastics for over 5 years in Sydney and holds a current accreditation from Gymnastics NSW. Zan’s playful personality and energy make him very popular with the children!

Kindergym Manager; Recreation and Development coach

Joanne was a national medal-winning gymnast in Ireland who went on to coach Olympic start squad and National Development children.  She worked in Ireland as a Recreational Manager and Head Coach for many years. Highly respected and skilled in coaching and training, Joanne was also a panelist judge for Gymnastics Ireland for seven years. She has worked across all age groups and levels from Kindergym to adults, designing club programs and individual training programs as well as staff training at all levels.

Recreation and Kindergym coach; Birthday Party Manager

Originally from the UK, Fiona has coached a wide range of ages and abilities from Kindergym to adults. She was the head of the boys competition squad at her previous gym in the UK, who competed at both regional and national level. She took a break from coaching to travel and explore new opportunities before deciding to get back into coaching.
Fiona has always had an interest in sport from a young age, and went on to become a qualified personal trainer. She likes to use her knowledge of other sports and movement to find fun and adaptable exercises she can incorporate into her coaching sessions.

Kindergym and Recreation coach

Camila has just joined the East Gymnastics team in September 2022. She is originally from Uruguay and has practiced gymnastics from a young age.  She’s a qualified history teacher and an accredited Kindergym coach with Gymnastics Australia, and has worked in education and recreation for more than 10 years.

Recreation coach

Arin has been involved in gymnastics from the age of 5 and trained at East Gymnastics for 7 years. Arin is highly passionate about working children. During her gap year in 2022, she worked in an overseas preschool for children with autism and developmental delays. Arin is excited to combine these passions of both gymnastics and teaching children as an East Gymnastics coach in 2023. Arin graduated from high school in 2021 and will be completing a degree in Psychology.  She has her coaching accreditation through Gymnastics NSW.

Kindergym, Recreation and Adults coach

Originally from the UK, Lauren has a First Class Honours Degree in Sports Coaching and was a former Competitive Artistic/Tumbling Gymnast for 8 years with Scottish Gymnastics. She has coached both Competitive and Recreational Gymnastics from Preschool to Adult. Lauren uses her knowledge of sport to motivate her groups and help gymnasts achieve and develop their full potential, while providing a fun learning environment.

Kindergym, Recreation and Aerials coach

Jenny has experience in both gymnastics and aerial gymnastics, being a finalist in the Little Lyras competition in 2018. She was admitted into the Flying Fruit Fly Circus School and participated in École Nationale du Cirque’s Summer Intensive in Montreal in 2019. Jenny also trained in the full time ballet program at Danceworks Sydney from 2021 and part of 2022. She enjoys all things movement and is currently studying a Diploma of Contemporary Pilates and Teaching Methodology.

Recreation coach

Sophia has been training at East Gymnastics for 11 years and is very excited to have joined the coaching team. She enjoys working with children of all ages. She is planning on doing a degree in design after her HSC in 2023.

Recreation coach

Monique has been a gymnast at East Gymnastics for 8 years and has started coaching with us in 2023. Monique is a gymnastics advocate with a keen interest in health and fitness. It’s become her mission to help others on their gymnastics journey and to ensure the students feel heard and understood.  In between coaching she is a busy high school student. She has her coaching accreditation through Gymnastics NSW.

Recreation coach

Rhona was an Acrobatic gymnast from a young age and has years of experience coaching a wide variety of Gymnastics disciplines and age groups. She holds qualifications including WAG, Pre-School, Acrobatic, Free-Style, Trampoline & General Gymnastics plus an honour’s degree in Sport & Business Management. Originally from Scotland but loves to travel and has spent the past few years coaching in both Australia & New Zealand. She likes to focus her sessions on skill development plus ensuring a fun environment, she is excited to join the team at East Gymnastics Team for Term 1 2024!

Recreation coach

Georgia has done gymnastics for over 10 years, including a few years at East Gymnastics.  She is very passionate about working with children and loves to help others reach their full potential when learning new skills in gymnastics.

Birthday party coach

Signe has been involved in gymnastics, cheerleading and dance since the age of 5. She competed in a national cheerleading competition in Sweden in 2010. Since the age of 14 she has been coaching gymnastics in both Sweden and Australia. Signe is also an accomplished musician and a trained sommelier!


Natalie was a gymnast from age 5-16 and spent her childhood upside down. When she wanted to send her own children (now age 18 and 16) to gymnastics classes she realised there was a gap in the Eastern Suburbs for high quality recreational gymnastics. She quickly left her career in Management Consulting/Marketing Strategy and launched East Gymnastics! Natalie became an accredited gymnastics coach but mostly stays behind the scenes supporting her wonderful team.
